There is a direct tie to Bear Bryant in the history of the physical church. Over 30 years ago, Bear Bryant financally helped build the church for his spiritual advisor, the late Rev. Sylvester Croom Sr.. It is great story of triumph that is being written right now as we speak. Their church may have been physically destroyed, but as believers in Christ Jesus, the church remains in their hearts. Great story...makes for a great read on Sunday.
