Just like the 2008 Alabama Crimson Tide football team that lost to the Florida Gators in the 08 SEC Championship Game, the Frozen Tide who lost to the Gators last year in the SEC semifinals got their revenge defeating the Gators 7-2 to win the SEC Championship.

Tide goalie John Bierchen was awarded the tournament’s Most Valuable Player Award.

As we mentioned a few weeks ago, the Tide will now be heading to New Jersey for ACHA D3 National Championship Tournament in Vineland, NJ. Bama will face 2008 National Champion California University of Pennsylvania in their opening game on March 14.
