Tide Wraps Up SEC Play With Victory at LSU

By

The Crimson Tide (9-0,6-0) gymnast wrapped up their SEC season Friday night with a 197.025 to 196.575 victory over No. 13 LSU which was the Tide's season high score on the road.

One word to describe this year's Alabama team is consistent. The Tide has been lead all season by seniors Geralen Stack-Eaton and Ashley Priess who scored a meet high of 9.925 on the balance beam; Stack-Eaton had a 9.875 on the beam.

Tide coach Sarah Patterson has been pleased overall by her team's performance this year.

“I think that’s what teamwork is all about,” Patterson said. “I thought we had a very consistent performance on all four events." “ Our ladies were focused, they were prepared, they stepped up and they had Diandra (Milliner)’s back with a great beam performance.”

Milliner had fallen earlier during the meet. The Tide will next face Oklahoma this coming Friday in Norman.
