Tide Crushes UAB 8-1

The Crimson Tide softball team (8-0) continued its hot start with an 8-1 victory over UAB Tuesday night.

The Tide was lead by freshman Danae Hays, who batted 2-for-3 and drove in two runs. Junior Kayla Braud scored two runs, walked three times and stole three bases.

Pitcher Jackie Traina improved her record to 6-0 this season in five innnings of work struck out nine and gave up only one run on two hits.

Alabama will host the Easton Bama Bash, presented by Drash, starting on Friday, Feb. 24. The Tide is scheduled to play five games over the course of the three days, welcoming East Carolina, North Dakota State and SIUE to Rhoads Stadium.
