Mitchell’s Suspension May be A Good Thing For The Tide

By

Some thought when Tide head coach Anthony Grant suspended Tony Mitchell Monday that the team would struggle; after that beat down of Auburn Tuesday night 68-50, not so much.

The Tide looked every bit the team we all thought they would be Tuesday night. They dominated the boards, they played good defense and surprise, surprise, they shot the ball well; all without their second leading scorer. They looked and played like a team something apparently Mitchell can’t or won’t get.

Anthony Grant hasn’t set a time table for Mitchell’s return which may not be a a bad thing. JaMychal Green set out for awhile last year which did him and the team some good.

My advice to Mitchell would be change his attitude quick or he might found himself on the outside looking in especially if Bama makes it to the NCAA Tournament. If Tony Mitchell watched the game Tuesday, I got a feeling he learned a lesson; the Tide doesn’t need him to win.
