Legendary Alabama Broadcaster Tom Roberts to Retire After Iron Bowl

Alabama's beloved radio broadcaster, Tom Roberts, is retiring following the Iron Bowl tomorrow. He is in his 30th year on the Tide radio broadcast. His work began as the network's statistician in 1979 and he held that position until 1998 when he turned it over to his son, Brian Roberts. The senior Roberts has hosted the network's pre-game show for 14 years. During the game, he updates Crimson Tide fans with scores and other statistics. He was also the host of "Hey, Coach," Alabama's weekly call-in show on Thursday night from Wings Sports Grille in Tuscaloosa.
