Former Alabama QB Sims To Start for UVA

By

University of Virginia coach Mike London announced that former Bama qb Phillip Sims will make his first start against Duke this weekend.

Sims as you all know by now, left the program for “personal reasons.”

Although he is excited to start, Sims wants to keep the expectations low.

“Nobody’s asking me to go out and be Superman or be Michael Vick or Peyton Manning or anybody like that,” Sims told the Washington Post.

“I’m just being asked to be Phillip Sims and go out there and do the things that I’ve been taught to do within this offense and help my team win and move the ball offensively.”

Since starting the season 2-0, Virginia has lost three in a row which may explain another reason Sims will start this weekend.
