Tide Faces New and Improved Ole Miss Team

By

For the first four games of the 2012 season, the Alabama Crimson Tide has yet to be challenged. Most thought that the Tide would be challenged by the Michigan Wolverines and they weren’t.

Some thought the Arkansas Razorbacks would challenge the Tide too; they didn’t. Now, here comes the Ole Miss Rebels.

The Rebels have a new head coach (Hugh Freeze), a new offense and a new attitude.

They also have a new quarterback in Bo Wallace who has lead the Rebels to a 3-1 record and they are averaging almost 40 points a game.

The issue with Ole Miss is their young defense. While the Rebels offense has improved, their defense hasn’t, giving up 66 points a few weeks ago to the Texas Longhorns.

They have to face an Alabama offense that averages over 40 points a game and a defense that is No. 1 in the nation in scoring defense only giving up a shade over five points a game.

I’m not saying the Ole Miss offense won’t score a few points on the Tide because they might, but it won’t be enough. Alabama’s offense and defense is way superior to what the Rebels will put on the field tonight.

And although, Ole Miss may stay in the game for a little while, at some point, the Tide’s superiority will take over.
