Tide Football Player Johnson Named in Lawsuit

Crimson Tide football player Kelly Johnson, along with Sigma Chi Fraternity; have been named in a federal lawsuit.

Johnson allegedly assaulted a pledge at his house two years.

The suit, filed against Sigma Chi Corp., the Iota Iota chapter at the University of Alabama and Johnson, states that fraternity members furnished alcohol to underage members. It claims that Johnson assaulted a pledge at a party, causing him serious physical harm.

Johnson played in nine games for the Tide last year on special teams.

There have been no comments at this point from Alabama or Nick Saban.
