Bad news for the Alabama offense, wide receiver Chris Black, who was expected to contribute to the offense this season, will need surgery for his shoulder and is expected to be out for 3-4 months.

“He's going to be an excellent player for us in the future,” Saban said.

According to some reports, there was already some buzz about Black in camp so it’s a shame that like Dee Hart last year, that he might have to sit out all if not most of the season and that we as fans will have to wait another year to see what he can do.
