Eddie Lacy Back For Fall Practice

By

One of the things that must have pleased Nick Saban yesterday was to see the return of running back Eddie Lacy who sat out spring practice because of injuries.

Saban said Lacy did everything he needed to do to get back to the practice field.

"He doesn't have any issues or problems,” said Saban.

“He went through this summer and worked through the rehab and worked his way up to what everybody else was doing in the summer conditioning program.”

As a backup to Trent Richardson last year, Lacy rushed for almost 700 yards and averaged 7.1 yards per carry. He is expected to carry the torch this season of great Bama running backs.

Saban did note that Lacy hasn’t done a lot of cutting yet, but from what he has seen; so far, so good.

"He took every rep that he was supposed to take in practice today and didn't seem to have an issue."
