Richardson, Hightower and Kirkpatrick Announce for the NFL

By

Trent Richardson and Dre Kirkpatrick both announced they will be taking their talents to the NFL according to Chase Goodbread of Tidesports.com

Dont'a Hightower, who did not make today's press conference, also decided to turn pro today as well.

Kirkpatrick was quoted as saying "This is a family decision and I'm going to leave for the NFL."

"I am going to leave here and try to represent Alabama in a Class A way going into the NFL Draft," said Richardson

Dont'a Hightower said "I feel like I can bring a lot of physical play to an NFL team. I take pride in being physical and stopping the run."

This shouldn't come as a surprise to most Tide fans there has been speculation for weeks that these three would probably turn pro. Another Tide player who some thought might turn pro, Robert Lester, apparently has decided to stay in school along with offensive lineman Barrett Jones who announced he'd be staying in school a few weeks ago.
