Tinker’s Girlfriend Dream of Alabama Playing in New Orleans


The New Orleans Times-Picayune did a lovely piece of Carson Tinker's Ashley Harrison.

Harrison, as you all know, died in the April tornado that ravaged Tuscaloosa. She was from the New Orleans area and predicted that her boyfriend and his teammates would be playing in her hometown for the national championship.

“She told him they’d be here for her birthday,” her mother Darlene Harrison said. “He didn’t believe her. He said it was too early to talk about playing in the championship.”

The article of course goes into great detail about the aftermath of the tornado and how Tinker and Harrison's family is coping today. Even though it's been almost a year later, Tinker still has a hard time talking about it.
