Steadman Shealy is a name that will live in Alabama lore forever. Shealy lead Coach Bryant’s last national championship teams in 1979.

Shealy was part of the 1979 team that made the goal line stand against Penn State. Shealy also was part of the 1978 national championship team that had the longest winning streak in school history (28).

Shealy graduated Cum Laude in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree. After graduation, Shealy hosted Coach Bryant's Sunday television program and served as a graduate assistant in the football program while earning his law degree,

In 1984 Shealy earned his Juris Doctor from the UA School of Law. Today, Shealy is a senior partner in a Dothan law firm. He and his wife have five children. One of them, Jacqueline, is a gymnast with the University of Alabama.
