As Alabama fans bask in the glow of the Tide’s blowout win over Florida, its future stars were dominating Florida’s high school gridirons this weekend as well.

Chris Black, the nationally recruited wide receiver from Jacksonville Florida, led First Coast High School to a 56 to 9 thrashing of West Nassau.

Showing the skills that made him such a highly coveted recruit, Black returned a punt 76 yards, setting up an early score that the Florida Times-Union labeled the turning point of the game.

Black also scored two touchdowns, both on reverses, giving Crimson Tide fans a glimpse of great things to come.  His ability to make big plays receiving, returning kicks, and on trick plays such as reverses make him the type of athlete who could earn playing time early and often, even as a freshman.

First Coast High School remains undefeated.
