Top Recruit Beniquez Brown Announces Decision On Friday

This Friday could be a huge day for the Crimson Tide nation.

One of America’s best high school football players, Beniquez Brown of the Florence High School Falcons, will announce his college choice in his hometown of Florence.
According to reports across the mainstream and social media, Brown has narrowed his choices to Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi State.

Although most reports have Brown favoring the Crimson Tide, he had high praise for the Florida Gators and new head coach Will Muschamp after a visit to Gainesville. He has publicly stated that the distance of a college from his home will not affect his decision.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds, Beniquez Brown is one of the most coveted players in the nation. Most recruiting services list Brown as an “Athlete” rather than at one specific position. He excels as a running back, with a combination of size and speed that allows him to gain both the tough yards between the tackles and the sweeps around the outside.

Brown's ability as a receiver out of the backfield was on full display in a game against Bob Jones High School, when he took a short screen pass and turned it into a 39 yard gain in route to the Falcons’ only score. One opposing coach has compared him to Bo Jackson.

On defense, Brown racked up 14 tackles against a highly talented Bob Jones team.

Interestingly, Bob Jones star Reggie Ragland, another national recruit, also had 14 tackles in the game. Ragland was an early commitment to Alabama.   Hopefully Brown will be inpired to join Ragland to play football in Tuscaloosa. will have full coverage on the Beniquez Brown decision and its impact.
