Coach Nick Saban talks about top ranked 2012 recruiting class with CBS. In it, he discusses how Alabama likes to focus on a 5 hour radius of Tuscaloosa, but that they also will go after more national players than ever before when the opportunity arises. Great video... check it out.

The Alabama Auburn rivalry is seen by the media as bunch of redneck crazies who have zero self-control and are hell-bent on killing each other. It just isn't that way folks.

Over 99.9% of all Alabama & Auburn fans are peace loving people, who just want to have a good time watching some football.

At the Iron Bowl this last weekend, that was on full display. It was a beautiful as well as a peaceful day to beat the Tigers!

In the video below, you can see the Alabama & Auburn fans chatting & being cordial and even the bands united to pay a touching tribute to the victims of Alabama’s tornados last spring.

Not much press goes out to the good in Alabama & Auburn's rivalry, but as the saying goes, "a picture is worth a thousand words."

Forget Harvey Updyke’s tree poisoning or Finebaum’s banned Auburn caller who was elated that caller Shane Sez (who is a very outspoken Alabama fan) had lung cancer. Sure there is the crazy fringe like this in every fan base, but the vast majority of fans are very good people.

Air Force Coaching Legend Fisher DeBerry Favors Bama vs LSU in Title Game

Former head football coach at the United States Air Force Academy from 1984 to 2006, Fisher DeBerry racked up the most wins and highest winning percentage (.608) in Air Force football history. His best year was 1985, when Air Force finished #8 in the AP with a 12-1 record. He duplicated that record in 1998, but only finished #13.

Today, in retirement, Coach DeBerry a respected coach & authority on football, he is offering his opinion on who should play in college football's biggest game.

Coach DeBerry is adamant about the fact that it "should be who we feel are the two best TEAMS" (emphasis his), regardless of conference play. He said he looks at who "week in and week out" are the best teams.

"It is clear in my mind that LSU right now should be the #1 team because they beat Alabama", Fisher then said, "yet Alabama is that (motioning with his finger close together) close to being number one. It would be an exciting national championship game."

We agree with you on this one coach!

Nobody can say that Coach Saban isn't high octane when it comes to his football. LSU's 2008 team got the brunt of Coach Saban's pre-game motivational speeches can do.

Rashad Johnson picked off 3 interceptions, and Alabama's #1 ranked squad beat LSU in overtime. John Parker Wilson had the quarterback sneak in overtime that sealed the deal in Baton Rouge. Julio burned LSU on the goal line with a tightrope catch. Check out the AWESOME BAMA highlights below and see if it gets you pumped up... man it shooo did get my juices to flowing for Saturday night!

Trevor Lacey In Alabama’s First Scrimmage

Alabama's 5 star basketball phenom, Trevor Lacey (#3), practiced in the first scrimmage of the 2011-12 season. This video has highlights of what happened. He did ok, but he looked much like most new freshmen that step up to the next level. He had some issues in shot selection & play, but there were also some bright spots with a nice alley oop to a teammate, a steal, & a nice lay-up. However, he did not look spectacular in his initial practice.

The hype level on this kid was out of this world, so anything short of Michael Jordan-esque play is a let-down. Cutting the kid a break however, he has talent. There is no doubt there. He will grow and improve as he learns what is expected of him from his demanding coach, Anthony Grant.

I remember watching a young Latrell Sprewell back when he was in one of his first practices for Alabama. The scrimmage was actually in Gadsden. He looked like nothing special at the time, but eventually ended up being a first round NBA pick & All-Star (and a "thug" if you ask ex-Warriors coach P. J. Carlesimo). So you never know. He may be a future star. Time will tell. Right now, he's a freshman. Plain to see.

VIDEO: Alabama Practice Tuesday October 25th

Alabama took Sunday and Monday off from the eight game start of the season. The players needed recuperation time to refresh both mentally and physically. Coach Saban has already indicated that this week of practice will be used to stress the fundamentals. Starting next week, the normal game week schedule will kick in as Alabama will install its gameplan for the Bengal Tigers who are coming to town on Novemeber 5th (you have heard about this game I am sure, we are playing a team called LSU and they happen to be ranked #1. Time to take it away from them!

In the video below, you will see that Alabama is practicing hard to do everything right fundamentally & to maintain their physical stamina in this bye week. The way Bama prepares for LSU is critical, because LSU is a formidable foe. In fact, LSU is the only team in America that compares even remotely to Bama's dominance in the first half of the season. Who wins this game will be the one who prepares the best (Bama of course!)

Anyway, check out the video, you can see the coaches jacking up players who fire off too fast or do things wrong. They are coming back to do it again, and doing it right.

After all... That is the Bama Way.

Coach Saban got the spotlight earlier this week for letting some colorful language (the "s---" curse word) come out after being asked some pretty lame questions by the media.

Now he is drawing the line in the sand for the media to follow so that they know the rules.

Not exactly a Spurrier rant (thankfully) but he does make himself clear. He pretty much indicates that he wants to avoid negative national publicity and his focus is on the game this week.

If you haven't had the chance to take one of your children to an Alabama game, today is a great day to get out of the house and make memories that will last a lifetime.

I would bet that you could get tickets for today's game if you went to Tuscaloosa and walked around. So think about it... make a day of it and raise your child up the right way... a huge Alabama fan!
