The game is televised on ESPN. If you don't have cable or satellite, you can possibly get it on www.ESPN3.com if your internet connection is fast enough. Otherwise, head over to a relative's house or turn on the radio to catch Eli Gold!

There are lots of ties between the schools with Coach Saban being former coach there, and Mark Ingram's father playing for the Spartans. It should be a great game. Check it out!

TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA - Alabama's football team went back to practice on Wednesday afternoon this week in a 2-hour session at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields. The Crimson Tide football team practiced for first time this week in pads since the throttling of Tennessee 41-10. Monday and Tuesday, Alabama practiced in shorts and shoulder pads in preparation for LSU nest week.

The rest could not have come at a better time. Alabama was definitely in need of rest so that the players could recover from nagging injuries and the team could re-group as a whole after taking on a full gauntlet of big-time football games. The span of games included one loss to South Carolina and a series of injuries that have been more of a hindrance than anything. Injuries like the broken hand of Julio Jones, ankle of Marcell Dareus, Upshaw, Menzie, and many others that just need the time to recover.

The task ahead is not easy. Alabama faces 3 out of 4 opponents in the rest of the schedule that are in the top 25. However, with the rest & time to re-evaluate their personnel & game planning, it should give Alabama just the boost it has been looking for.

The pep-in-the-step of the Alabama players is already evident with Preston Dial saying that it was a "good up-tempo day" at practice on Wednesday afternoon.

Yesterday, Alabama practiced but are taking Friday off for the weekend to get some more rest. The Tide will come back on Monday to resume its normal game-week practice routine as it prepares to travel to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to take on the #12 LSU Tigers.

It should be a good game, but right now, Alabama needs a long Halloween weekend off to rest. After all, its not a trick but a treat!

The team is set to leave on Monday for Washington DC. The team will be visiting with President Obama as well as to visit with local youth in order to contribute to the community programs promoted by Pres. Obama. The football team will actively speak to the youth about making good choices in life, exercise, and good eating habits. One of the other things that the team will do is visit the Pentagon.

Coach Nick Saban has already been called by Pres. Obama following the national championship win over Texas 37-21 with congratulations. Coach Nick Saban once famously turned down President Bush for a dinner date because of football practice... but this time he seems to be warming up to the idea of speaking to the president in person. In fact, he invited Pres. Obama to come play a game of basketball with him and the staff in Tuscaloosa.

It is expected that the team will arrive at the White House late Monday morning for personal visit with Obama, and the team will be given a guided tour of the White House... hopefully none the team members will be like Forest Gump and say to the president that "I have got to go pee!" after complementary Dr. Peppers!  All joking aside, it should be a great time for the Alabama players and is a trip that is well deserved.

The team will be back in time for the on-campus pro day, a day that is set aside for the NFL draft eligible players to work out in front of NFL scouts.
