Some Facebook fans are wishing for a rematch of the Iron Bowl in a scrimmage.  The "game" would be for for a good cause, fundraising for tornado relief.   I think it is a novel idea, but one that I think will never fly with current players.  There is simply too much at risk (injury-wise) to play a live game in the pre-season.  

One branch off of this idea is bringing in former football players of each school to play a "flag football" type game.  It could raise a lot of money for the victims if it can logistically be done.  It would be great to see players like Jay Barker & Bo Jackson out there having some fun for a great cause.   Let some former players, like Tyrone Prothro, who have had serious injuries participate in the coin flip ceremony at mid-field. 

Overall, the former players playing for this would be a real nice way of showing the nation that Alabama & Auburn can work together to do some good for the state of Alabama without being vicious toward one another.

Check out the big eye of the lady wondering who is behind her videoing the Whitehouse ceremony!  Funny stuff, but actually she is reaching for her child... but I really just wanted to give you another view of what is a landmark moment in Alabama football history.   Nice look at the interior of the room as well with the big chandeliers & old fashioned crown molding.   Looks much better than the interior decoration at the Auburn barn!  LOL    

Think about this...  this is history... and hopefully one that will recur over and over.  With 13 championships, this is only the 2nd White House visit by the herd of elephants known as the Crimson Tide.  The first was with Gene Stallings & the 92 crew.  I hope we have many more to come!
