In a game when it the Tide needed to come up big, they didn't. Bama lost to South Carolina 56-54 on a last second shot by the Gamecocks.

The big three, Trevor Releford, Tony Mitchell and JaMychal Green, again struggled from the field; Mitchell and Green combined for just 17 points.

Freshman Levi Randolph lead the team with 12 points and Nick Jacobs added 10 points. The Tide's lack of production and passion was not lost on Tide head coach Anthony Grant.

"From my vantage point tonight, you had a team in South Carolina that played inspired basketball," Grant said. "They played as a team. We didn't.

Grant was just getting started.

"It's been an issue for us, and it continues to plague us," Grant said. "We play an entitled brand of basketball, and it's very frustrating as a coach. And for me right now, I have to self-evaluate what I'm doing as a coach when it consistently feels like winning is not the priority that it needs to be on our team. So we've got to re-evaluate what we're doing as a coaching staff."

Coach Grant better hurry up and evaluate what's wrong with this team before they find themselves totally out of the NCAA Tournament. The Tide's next game will be against Arkansas Saturday.
