DB Robby Green Declared Ineligible for The 2010 Season

By

robby green alabamaUnfortunately, DB Robbie Green will not be playing in the upcoming fall in the defensive backfield for the Crimson Tide. While privacy laws prevent the University of Alabama from releasing information on the details of Green's transgression, it is said to be a violation of NCAA policy. The transgression is against the individual and not the university.

Green will remain with the team and continue practicing. He will lose his junior year and come back in 2011 for his senior year.

This could not have come at a worse time for Alabama's secondary. Alabama's secondary is already spread thin. The backups to Green are Robert Lester and Rod Woodson. Woodson is known for his hard hitting on field, hopefully he will have a concept of the defense come fall. There is a possibility that Alabama may be looking heavily at playing true freshman signees Jarrick Williams of Blount and Nick Perry of Prattville come fall. Hopefully, someone will step up this fall...

ROLL TIDE ROLL!

Here is a video of Robby Green...
