Alabama Makes “Believers” Out Of State

By

Mississippi State came into last night's game against Alabama with an undefeated record and statement: WE BELIEVE.

Well, the Tide did make  believers out of the Bulldogs and their fans defeating them,38-7.

Bama, as they do in most of their games, jumped on the Bulldogs early. Running back T.J. Yeldon scored on an 11-yard TD run and the  Tide to a 7-0 lead.

Then Heisman Trophy candidate AJ McCarron threw the first of his two touchdown passes-one a 57-yarder to Kenny Bell to make it 14-0 and another TD pass to TE Michael Williams to push the score to 21-0.

The Tide added a field goal and at the half it was Alabama 24 Mississippi State 0.

The few times the Bulldogs were around the redzone, the Tide defense would step up. Dee Milliner would block a field goal, and Robert Lester intercepted a Tyler Russell pass in the endzone.

Bama's second and third team offense would tack on two more touchdown's and the Bulldogs would score in the final minutes of the game to make it 38-7.

After all the hype by Mississippi State and their fans, the Tide proved once again to not only them, but the nation why they are still the No. 1 team in the country.

The Tide now heads to Baton Rouge to face LSU Saturday night in prime-time on CBS.
