Alabama/Missouri Preview

By

Missouri’s introduction to the SEC so far as been less then stellar to say the least. After having a good showing but losing to Georgia, they were blown out by South Carolina and their lowest point may have been losing to Vanderbilt.

But that could all change with a victory over the Tide tomorrow. Although they will be without their starting quarterback James Franklin, that doesn’t mean the Tigers won’t stop using the spread offense.

Nick Saban HATES the spread and he has made himself clear on that point this week. Despite his dislike of it, Saban has had a week to prepare for what’s coming and normally, giving him and his team a week to prepare for anything is not good news for the opponent especially an opponent that once again will be without their starting quarterback.

On the other side of the ball, the Tigers play pretty good defense ranking in the middle of pack in the SEC in certain defensive categories-they are especially good at stopping the run.

AJ McCarron will have to do what he has done all season and that is play mistake free ball and open the passing game up to set up the run.

Despite their injuries, expect Missouri to come out fired up and ready to go. They might give the Tide a hard time in the beginning, but at some point, the Tide’s will do what it always does; wear a team down.
