AJ For Heisman? Sheridan Thinks So

By

A.J. MccarronOddsmaker Danny Sherdian came out recently with his Heisman odds and has Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron at 30-1 favorite to win the award.

McCarron, who was the offensive MVP in this year’s BCS National Championship game, threw for 2600 yards with 16 touchdowns and only five interceptions last season.

He proved in the national championship game just how good of a player he really is and that he could carry a team on his back.

Many thought, including CBS color analyst Gary Danielson, that McCarron wasn’t even good enough to carry Alabama to a national championship, so I’m sure it will come as a surprise to him and others who doubted AJ that now he is  in some people’s eyes considered a Heisman candidate.

With a new starting backfield this coming season, McCarron may be leaned on more often in the Tide’s offense this year which could boost his Heisman chances.
