Bama and Florida Both Short Handed Coming Into Tonight’s Game

By

bama basketballAlabama won't be the only team down a few players in tonight's game in Tuscaloosa, the Florida Gators will be missing a few players themselves.

The Gators will be without their two top scorers off the bench as forward Will Yeguete (concussion) and guard Mike Rosario (hip pointer). Florida also may be missing coach reserve forward Cody Larson (flu) who practiced Sunday and will make the trip, but isn't 100 percent.

Florida head coach Billy Donovan doesn't want his players to think just because the Tide will be missing their top players, that this will be an easy game for them.

“The last thing I'd want to have happen for our team is to assume something or somebody not playing and then all of a sudden they're out there and you've got to tell the team these are the guys you're playing,” Donovan said. “If some of them are not playing, then we'll adjust with who is in their starting lineup.”

Anthony Grant was in no mood to talk about the suspensions again yesterday.

"We have Florida tomorrow," he said. "If you guys have any questions about our upcoming game, I'd like to talk about the upcoming game."

With the Gators also missing a few players, the Tide may have a chance to pull the upset especially with Steele and Releford both coming back which could lift the Tide to victory.

Tip-Off Tonight is 6pm on ESPN.
