Georgia Running Back Still Committed to the Tide

By

A report in the Atlanta Journal Sunday reported that Georgia high school running back Justin Taylor, was told by Nick Saban to sign with the Tide next year instead of being a part of the 2012 class.

Of course, this was made into a huge deal by those in Atlanta and other SEC schools who thought Saban was trying to do a number on the kid.

But if you read his comments in this article at the time, he seemed to be fine with the idea because he still wanted to come to Tuscaloosa.

“I’m going to go ahead and stick with Alabama. I mean, I’m committed to them. They committed to me. They want me. I know they want me because that’s what they are telling me. If they didn’t want me, they wouldn’t let me keep my scholarship, injury.”

Taylor also said that it would take an “an unbelievable situation" for him to go to another school. So,despite schools like Mississippi State, Tennessee and Purdue trying to pursue Taylor, he seems firmly committed to the Tide.
