Tide Dropped a Close One to Mississippi State, Looking Forward to Playing Vandy Thursday Night, Kentucky on Saturday on Road

By

The tough SEC stretch for the Crimson Tide started Saturday with a loss to No. 20 Mississippi State, 56-52.  It doesn't get any easier Thursday night playing a good Vandy team in Tuscaloosa.  Bama then turns around and goes to Kentucky on the road on Saturday.

In the game Saturday, the Mississippi State Bulldogs were lead by Arnett Moultrie who had 25 points, most of his points came in the first half. The Tide was led by JaMychal Green who had 14 points.

State lead by as many as 10 points in the second half, but the Tide would take the lead going into the final minutes of the game before Dee Bost took over the last few minutes of the game by hitting a couple of three-pointers to close out the Tide after State was 0-14 from the three-point line.

Before this game, the Tide was hot from the three-point line, but Saturday the Tide only made two three-pointers, but despite all of the that, the Tide still had a chance to win the ball game they just didn't make enough plays in the end to defeat State.
