Former Jets OC Interviews for Alabama Job

By

Is Brian Schottenheimer going to be Alabama's new offensive coordinator? If you believe reports out of AL.com, that is a strong possiblity.

Schottenheimer stepped down as the Jets OC the other day and some have speculated it was because he is about to become the OC at Bama.

Schottenheimer was reportedly in New Orleans for Alabama's win in the BCS National Championship Game. Reports are Coach Saban is looking for an experienced OC to take over and plans to interview Schottenheimer for the position.

The Jets offense under Schottenheimer fell apart this season; some question is it because of Schottenheimer or the play of quarterback Mark Sanchez. Reports are some of Sanchez's teammates called him "lazy" which may be another reason Schottenheimer left is because he got tired of the Jets zoo like atomsphere.

Schottenheimer is the son of former head football coach Marty Schottenheimer.
