Director George Lucas Congratulates Tide on Victory

By

Alabama fans weren't the only one's celebrating Bama's victory last night, director George Lucas congratulated the Tide on their victory against LSU. You may ask why? Well, the night before the BCS Championship Title Game, Saban took his players to see the new movie ''Red Tails" about the Tuskegee Airmen.

Saban used that movie to motivate his players and fell in love with the movie's motto of "To the last plane, the bullet, the last man, the minute we fight and we always stay with the mission."

This is what Lucas said in this congratulations:"Everyone associated with the film was so honored that Coach Saban elected to have his entire team screen the film on the eve of their championship game," Lucas said in the statement.

Lucas also said it was personally gratifying that the Bama players and coaches took to heart the film's message of overcoming adversity, never giving up, self-sacrifice and ultimate teamwork.

A message which obviously the team took to heart.
