Tide Back on the Road to Face Kansas State

By

Anthony Grant’s Crimson Tide basketball team is back on the road tonight to face Kansas State (not Kansas). The Wildcats come into this contest with a 6-1 record having lost to only West Virginia.

The last time the Tide faced the Wildcats was two years ago in Mobile; the Tide lost by 13 that night. Kansas State head coach Frank Martin and Grant were teammates at Miami Senior High School, where they later served together as assistant coaches.

Although the Wildcats are 6-1, they almost lost to North Florida in overtime, a team which the Tide beat soundly to start the season.

This is a homecoming of sorts for Tide guard Trevor Releford who is originally from Kansas City. According to reports last night when the Tide arrived in Kansas, they were met by several Crimson Tide fans hopefully they can help push the Tide to victory.

Tip-off is tonight at 9 p.m. central on ESPN U.
