Saban to Make an Appearance on ESPN Game Day

Nick Saban will come off the recruiting trail this weekend to make an appearance on ESPN’s College Game Day. Saban (although he denies it) will probably be campaigning for Alabama to be in the BCS Championship Game and for Trent Richardson to win the Heisman.

Saban did the same thing last year even through the Tide didn’t make it the BCS Championship last year; he was on the Game Day set the night when Auburn won their national championship.

We all know Saban is not a dumb man. He knows the more face time he gets on ESPN; it helps not only his team, but Richardson as well. There is still talk out there that some voters will go against Alabama if Oklahoma State has an impressive win against Oklahoma on Saturday, so every bit of publicity that Saban does may be the most important coaching job that Saban does this season.
