LSU Tight End Disses Tide Linebackers

By

deangelo patterson LSUSo far this week, the trash talk between Alabama and LSU has been between the fans and the alumni of each school; that is until a few days ago.

LSU tight end Deangelo Peterson dissed the Tide linebackers calling them big and slow.

“Their linebackers are kind of slow and big. I feel I can beat them one-on-one and get open in zones and man-to-man coverages," said Peterson. "If they guard me with a linebacker, I'll get open.”

Keep in mind Peterson hasn’t really been a factor in the LSU offense. This season Peterson has caught 12 passes for 137 yards; stellar numbers right?

Peterson saying anything is like Vince Young who is a back-up quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles running his mouth and calling the Eagles “a dream team.”

Why open your mouth and say ANYTHING when you know for the most part your presence this season was barely felt.

Peterson continued to dig a hole by saying “I don't think their linebackers can guard me one-on-one, and I don't think their safeties can, either," he said.

When asked for a comment about what Peterson said, the Alabama players said nothing. I guess that means they’ll do their talking on the field Saturday.
