Alabama Ranked #1 Once Again! Curse or Blessing?

I absolutely believe Alabama is the best team in the land, and the country now agrees... according to the AP Poll this week, but it does make you wonder if this will be a curse or a blessing for the Tide. What is your opinion? Post comments in Facebook or here.

Last year, Alabama maintained the #1 spot for most of the year to only experience the bitter taste of two losses at the end of the year.

It is my hope that the lessons of last year have been seared into the conscious of this latest version of Saban's football "terminators." Bama is cocked and loaded on both sides of the ball with tons of talent stacked 2-3 deep. The play calling has been stellar and, for the most part, the execution is right on.

The Tide is once again on the rise, but Nick Saban wants to stop the ascension of the players mind to thinking they are "#1" and getting complacent. We don't need any of the "big head" mentality being any part of the Alabama team. we need to take all games one at a time respect every opponent.

To circumvent this happening, Coach Saban has arranged for the team to view a new movie called "More Than A Game." It is about how LeBron James and his high school team in Akron, Ohio demonstrated how easy it is to get beat when you get the "big head." James' & his team got the "big head" mentality and eventually lost their state championship in his junior year. The following season they straightened out their attitude, came together, and won it all in their senior year.

Question is this, will #1 be a blessing or a curse? I have a feeling that this time around, Alabama has learned the junior year lesson of LeBron James and his high school teammates and will triumph like they did the senior year.

Hopefully, last years curse may be this year's blessing... I believe there will be a crystal football in their future in January. ROLL TIDE!
