RECRUITING NEWS: Eddie Williams Dominates Again

By

It was a great weekend to be an Alabama fan in the state of Florida.

The Crimson Tide enjoyed a 38 to 10 thrashing of the Florida Gators, and Alabama’s highest ranked recruit, Panama City’s Eddie Williams, enjoyed another blowout with his Arnold High School teammates.

In a 42 to 0 homecoming rout over The Lakeside School, Williams showed once again why he has been named as one of the top 5 players in all of high school football.

The 6-foot-4, 200 pound future safety showed off his ball-hawking skills by returning an interception for a touchdown.  In addition to his pick-six, Williams scored on a two point conversion, rushed for 51 yards, and completed two passes for 17 yards.

The injury-riddled 2011 season for Arnold High became even worse, as two offensive linemen suffered knee injuries in the first quarter.   However, with Eddie Williams starring on both sides of the ball, the Arnold team will be competitive in every game it plays.

That’s the effect that great players have, and that’s why Alabama fans can’t wait to see Eddie Williams wearing crimson next season.

Just found out about this… From rolltide.com:

Maze Nominated for GEICO Play of the Year: Senior Marquis Maze’s 83-yard punt return against Arkansas on September 24, is nominated for the GEICO Play of the Year.
