Tornado Damage Will Affect Alabama’s Home Games

By

While football is only a secondary thought in the aftermath of Wednesday's tornado that ripped through Tuscaloosa, school & city officials are now beginning to comtemplate how they will be able to accomadate the masses of Alabama football fans that will converge on Tuscaloosa this fall in 7 home football games.

In a quote from the Associated Press, Mark Nelson, vice president of student affairs and vice provost, said that it was "hard to imagine more than 100,000 people streaming into Tuscaloosa in RVs, airplanes and cars for an athletic event". He later said that it was the city's responsibility on how to accommodate the crowds.

In the end, Tuscaloosa will pull together to get this done. Alabama football is too big to not allow the show to go on.
