The papers are in! Cyrus Kouandjio is going to play college football with his brother, Arie (who is already a redshirt freshman), at Alabama! The letter of intent was faxed into the office of the University of Alabama, thereford turning the Tide in recruiting between Tide and Auburn over the No. 1 offensive tackle in the nation.

Here is a quote by Cyrus Kouandjio today on his Facebook page:

"Thanks for all the love and support from the state of Alabama," Kouandjio wrote on his Facebook wall. "love all the new relationships i have made throughout this process. . but at the end of the day. . ima keep the fam together and i must say. . . . ROOLLLLL TTIIIDDDEEE!!!"

This signature only makes Alabama's recruiting class so much stronger. Before Kouandjio's signature, Alabama's class was still ranked #1 by Rivals. You can say this is the icing on the cake.

There is still one more possible signature coming if Jadaveon Clowney picks Alabama over South Carolina. We will know on February 14th, his birthday.

Coach Nick Saban had indicated Wednesday that the offensive tackle spot was a big need for the Tide, and Cyrus Kouandjio fills that need with a huge frame of 6 foot 7 and 320 pounds. Many experts are thinking that Kouandjio could easily add 50 pounds of pure muscle in the Alabama strength and training program and not lose a step.
