Report: Colorado hires coach

By

Alabama offensive coach Jim McElwain apparently did not make the cut for head coach of the Colorado Buffalos. The Denver Post reported today that the current Washington redskins tight end coach & former CU player, Jon Embree, has verbally accepted an offer from Colorado to become its next head football coach. Another famous son of Colorado, Eric Bieniemy is reportedly tabbed to be offensive coordinator.

Apparently even former coach is jumping in the fray and confirming the report: (direct quote from the Denver Post)

Former Colorado coach Bill McCartney in a statement to the Denver Post said that "Embree's going to be the head coach and Bieniemy's going to be the offensive coordinator," McCartney told The Denver Post today. "Take it to the bank and hang your hat on it."
