Alabama Loses Close Game to LSU 24 – 21

By

It is the season that will certainly stand as a disappointing one for many starry-eyed Alabama fans hoping for back-to-back national championships. Les Miles and his madhatting ways pulled off an upset today of SEC West Titans in the last few years. Alabama come out playing well on the road, but a few trick plays and some easy wide open throws down field by LSU proved to be too much for the Tide.

Alabama had a slim chance with 30 seconds of time and no time, but came up empty handed, losing to LSU 24 - 21

I knew it would be hard to go into Death Valley and get a win, but I have to admit I am very stunned. I don't know what to say. I think the loss of most of Bama's defense from last year had to have hurt us bad, but is it me... or does Mark Ingram seem like a different back this year?

Alabama knew it controlled its own destiny all the way to Glendale, and our 5th year senior quarterback literally dropped the ball to seal the deal. Its not all Greg McElroy's fault. He played great most of the game, but that one turnover late in the 4th was the key play that put another loss on this year's record.

At the moment, the best Alabama can hope for is a 11-2 record. Nothing to sneeze at, however, we aren't there yet... and to tell the truth it is very possible to go 8-5. I don't think that will happen, but heck... I did not think 2 losses would be on our record this year.

Bama nation.. Keep your heads high. Next week is Mississippi State. A tough game to play any year, especially this year. Don't forget... We can still make Auburn cry and win the state championship. It's not out of reach. However, we will have to play much better than we did today.
